Experts have already contacted Google regarding updates

to the maps.

Google updated Google Maps, which led to the revealing the locations

of Ukrainian military systems. This update could be detrimental to

Ukraine, as the information is now accessible to Russia.

This was reported by Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for

Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.

He explained that experts had already reached out to Google about

updating the maps, but a quick response from the corporation has yet

to come.

"Imagine the situation. Google posts updated images on the maps,

showing the location of our military systems (I won’t specify). We reach

out to them, asking for a quick correction, but it turns out it’s the

weekend for them. It’s not their priority," he wrote.

According to him, Russians are actively sharing these images online.

Following the public reaction, Google representatives did contact

Ukrainian experts and reported that they were working on correcting the

issue with the images showing the locations of Ukrainian military

systems.
