A man who was allegedly armed with a gun outside of CIA headquarters in Virginia was taken into custody

after he pointed the weapon at his head during an hours-long standoff with police, according to authorities

and a report.

The suspect allegedly started making threats outside the government building in McLean and pulled the

weapon, pointing it at the facility after 10 a.m., WJLA reported, citing officials.

The commotion prompted heavily-armed officers to swarm near CIA headquarters with numerous roads

shut down during what the Fairfax County police called a “barricade incident.”
